Goethe House and Goethe Museum in Frankfurt

Goethe was born in Frankfurt in 1749 and also grew up here. His first works were made in his house in the Großer Hirschgraben. The house is still faithfully furnished and you can feel the atmosphere in which the world-famous works were created.

German Museum of Architecture

Here in Frankfurt, old and historic villas from the Wilhelminian period come up against the modernity of skyscrapers. For this reason alone, it makes sense that the first German architecture museum can be found in Frankfurt. The museum is located in one of these villas and the exhibitions mainly show the architecture of the 20th and 21st centuries as well as the history of German architecture through model panoramas.
